Strangest Phenotype ever found ?

I have something weird going on with the Rhubarb I'm running now, it looks like it has little droplets of blood forming on the buds. It's not that easy to photograph, but here it is:

There's a drop of the left side & one just below on the leaf. It's sticky, some dried up, too. It's not water, and nothing is dripping on them.
Any ideas?

Do you have a scope to look at it closer up ?

It could be Guttation

Exactly what I was gonna say. Could just be guttation with a high amount of anthocyanins (what causes the purple in cannabis) this giving it a bleeding look. I once topped a Nurple auto by Binary selections and it looked like it was bleeding.. but it was just the liquid in the stem and a very high amount of anthocyanin

I'm starting to feel like a selective breeding process would be fully capable of allowing me to name a strain used Tampon and it be accurate looking haha.

I was thinking of the strain name "Stigmata". I was ready to do a foliar spray with some holy water.

Don't get me wrong; If I'd seen that I'd have been wondering what happened myself haha. I'm glad it's sorted, and, of course, I learned something new today :) I've not personally seen the "looks to be bleeding" on a plant before, though I knew what caused coloration in leaves just never saw it appear quite like that.
