G per watt/light/etc - to Rom's point, you'd have to include veg time. Cuz someone could veg 6 months in a 17' tall (or wide, if they top n scrog like a MF) and kill a 3 week veg, but then the 3 week veg could get in several more harvests within that time, so which is a better indicator of performance? You could also spend 6 months on veg, flip that thing, then halfway into flower you get bud rot cuz of the super massive colas. Pros n cons to everything.
I'm with ya Rom, the trend now is people don't like going for weight but when you need to keep an ample supply cuz of the super high consumption rate, weight is a big factor. I like super bomb weed even if it's a low yield, but in order for me to make it worthwhile, I'd have to grow triple the amount of the same low yielding plant to even keep up with a high yielder with almost as good smoke, with a good chance of it being even better. So the search continues for that perfect balance. Knockin on the door though, cuz I've been able to get almost 1 elbow from one plant with 3 week veg from seed (counted after first true set of leaves) and not-so-good lights. I thought we smoked it all, but found a jar last week and been smokin on that mixed with some more recent stuff.
