Thought it would be fun to see what was your first pack of seeds you ever ordered..Ide imagine it was a little nerve racking..It was for me..Still being fully illegal and ya had to use your credit card, or grab your nuts and send cash? Then hope it was all legit and your stuff would make it thru customs or make it at all...Of course times have changed thank god..pretty ignorant a guy can't collect seeds of any sort...My very first seed purchase pack was serious seeds AK47 back in 2007

I think my first bean order was around the same time, 07 or 08.
I ordered through a friend from Attitude, and got Tribal Vision and Malawi 99 by Afropips. (RIP) Can't remember the freebies at the time.
The next was Mosca's Cinderella 99 bx.
It's all been downhill since then...
As much as I miss some old seeds and cuts I've had and lost, I always have new beans to get through to find something just as good, or better!
 
The first seeds I ever actually ordered came from a seedbank/forum called Planet Skunk and were bred by a guy named Deadvet who ran Celtic Stone Seeds out of Ireland. It was around 2004 or 2005 I think. I ordered two packs, one called Celtic Berry and one called Big Stone. I'd pay a lot of money to take another crack at those crosses again. I had a lead on some from a guy on instagram but he never actually pulled through with them.

I was super nervous I wouldn't get them so just a day or two later I also ordered a pack of White Widow from Nirvana, I think from Attitude Seedbank? I don't remember that quite as clearly haha. I do remember I got a bunch of freebies which was quite the surprise. That was my introduction to TGA and DNA gear.

I'd place a few more orders over the next couple years until one day I got one of those orange customs letters instead of my package... got a little nervous after that.
 
I was late to the game - but only considered outdoor as an option, which kept me from considering when renting apartments.

First try was nerve wracking, both growing illegally, and ordering from the Attitude overseas.
Went with auto's for simplicity and stealth outdoors.
They still have my order, and I have a top-shot from the Blue Himalaya early on!!
Having only smoked Mexican sativa, the couch-lock effect was a true trip.

I said fuck it if people were getting busted ordering seeds then high times wouldn't keep letting them place ads, right? ???

So I rolled the dice in mid 2002 on Kind seeds and ordered Dutch passion's feminized skunk #1. My friends thought feds would be kicking in my door.

But nope, just grew some stanky ass weed and ordered Dutch passion's blueberry regs around August 2002.

Those blueberry plants blew my fucking mind and showed me what real dank was and I was hooked. Haven't gone a year without growing since.

Edit: Kind Seeds was the seed bank. Had the inside cover of High Times for years.

And here's a pic from 2011 of my 1st attempt at reversing one of those Barney's Farm Flower Power fems.
I had followed the "Grumpy Old Dreamer" instructions for making your own CS, and then just sprayed it on a branch.
This was magic at the time!!!

Try contacting bald monkey or the derrg collective. They are euro based work on preserving lines. I'm certain they would be able to point you in the right direction if they didn't do it themselves. Or Al from Khalifa genetics. They're from Ireland. He would know who or be able to put you in the right direction
 
Wow, you’re asking me to remember a long time ago man!… lol

Here in Canada, lots of “headshops” would carry seeds too, not just pipes and bongs.. Seeds being legal and all, you just couldn’t grow them!…But it Made it a lot less sketchy getting them, and still you’d be looking over your shoulder leaving the store.. looking for any “unmarked” cars….lmao
Anyway,
I remember wanting white widow, but they were sold out, and I ended up getting white rhino instead.. Soooo not the same, but I wasn’t disappointed regardless.
 
I can barely remember last year let alone 25+ lol first beans ever bought were white widow, white rhino, skunk #1 and nl#5. These were bought on a trip to Vancouver in the mid 90's. BC seed co was one, another was on the strip upstairs can't recall the name.

I remember around the same time frame, my buddy was running Dutch Passions White Widow and Blueberry. Loved that stuff!
His White Widow was the first clone I got from anyone when I started growing a few years later. He had unfortunately just lost the Blueberry though.
Seems like DP was killin it back then!

Lol no doubt. My very very first grow I was a teen and planted a bagseed when it was about a foot tall in a pot I planted it in this ditch run off that went down a huge hill..That spot was always wet..Long story short this damn plant ended being every bit of 17 ft tall...And for the love of God it was a male...My brother and I were teens and smoke every bit of the leaves ??? Man we didn't even know how raunchy that stuff was ...But damn I sure remember getting pretty damn high from it... many times...but ya. That was my actual first grow ..good times
 
First seeds I ever bought was also from Canada sent a buddy up there to grab em somewhere around the year 2000. Still got the printed out catalog. Before that it was all bag seeds...I got super skunk and Northern lights my buddy got a couple packs to don't remember what or if he ever even ran em..found a real nice one In the super skunk...IMG_20220928_205838217.jpg
