thanks ! will not order from Robin Hood will look again at Square One (specific strain to grow ?)Robin Hood is Square1’s cheaper bean company. Used to be buy them at your own risk, not as stable/tested as his other stuff and whatnot. Not sure if that’s still the case or what. Never bought or ran his stuff myself, but he certainly has quite the following.
Could not have sait it better. I'm a very very small time chucker, and occasionally I have folks who, understandably, want to test my gear out before spending a bunch of money. I get asked for one seed all the time. I'm like, you want to place judgements on my gear and probably my entire line of cultivars, based upon the actions of one seed? Not to mention, don't you value your time and effort more than to bottle neck your selection to the least possible seeds? Please always start more than you anticipate finishing, regardless of stability etc, it is mother nature were dealing with and nothing is 100%. As a chucker I try to get to the point where every seed is a winner, but im not sure I'd trust anyone who said they had succeeded in that mission. Anyway, my blabbering for the day, thanks for listening hahaha.People seem to like Robin Hood, so I don’t know if I’d stay away if those are the genetics you’re looking for. You’re going to have a hard time finding Runtz, GSC, and whatnot beans that are worked/stabilized/IBL. Plus, seeds are seeds. Some may throw sacs, some may be slower, and so on, but that’s why it’s best to run multiple packs and find your keeper to run for 2-3 years. If you run 100 females from most any line you’ll come across stuff you don’t want. It’s a numbers game. The more you can run, the better selections you’ll end up with. Best of luck!
