Awesome to hear. hahaha yeah I had all mine spread across the table yesterday. My goal this year is to dial it back a little bit and do what I do out there REALLY well. only plant what I can handle without needing to spend hours each day out there, and not let anything go to waste. I also want to do more root stuff like garlic and ginger and onions to save throughout the fall and winter. Just working my way closer towards self sufficiency.

Started garlic in the fall, tomatos peppers potatos beans cukes delecatta squash snow peas and summer squash and TONS of them. Every planter I have.
The price of stuff around here is climbing every week. It is a good year to grow your own food. And i have jacks 20 20 20 (45 pounds of it) man i am growing some big tomatoes this year...and i mean TOMATOES.

And a large selection of peppers ?.
Plan is to sell these at local farmers markets. I sell blueberries ? every year, trying to add to the table this year.
And the normal veggies for the house.

I stupidly forgot my seed box in the greenhouse last year and mice ate all my veggie seeds. I was bummed.... until I realized that was an excuse to buy all new stuff! Just got my Bakers Creek order. Perusing the Johnny's catalog with my coffee this morning.

I've grown kale through the winter down here for many years - usually a random Baker Creek variety or two - have plans to try Arugula for the first time this year - the cut and come again aspect appeals to me - there's a local variety that supposedly does pretty good in the desert - we'll see.....Me too

Mac is good for sure and I think that CAP is a good breeder. The wedding cake I had last year was sparkly but lacked terps, maybe it wasn't the right clone or something. There's def some good coming out of there. I should try some real wedding cake from a dispensary some time and see what's up.

Does it have a lot of terps? The cake crosses do get me nice and high. The GelatoCake I had this year was super slow vegging but very tasty.

I feel like Cake gets me ripped, but for like half an hour. That's been my biggest complaint, it has no staying power. And for how high I get it doesn't do much for pain or anything. Just always seemed kind of one dimensional to me.
I have a whole pile of Bad Dawg cake crosses, maybe I'll give it another shot.

the cut of wedding cake that Mama Funk had was stellar, I loved that one surprisingly. I hit it with the NL2HP and another with Chocolate Fire Cookies and I liked those a lot, but I’m biased lol.

Look for baddawgs trestardog x cake fighter I think it is, great cross. Just finishing up gps double dips, it’s pretty good. I like cake also, but it’s supposed to last a lil longer than that. Ice cream cake crosses are also good, I’ve found.

After reading some of this thread and thinking "are they smoking fucking crack????" I then realized if I'd won the lotto and felt like pissing money away.... if I had a crack at the first Chemdog or Blue Cheese...... lol I don't know even then if I'd spend THAT much hahahaha. That's like buying a Lexus Helicopter; I'm not sure I'd do that lol.

Jesus the LA Kush Cake from my state Clone Nursery was like 200 bucks ... Looking like a JOKE
Small, shitty, runt plant . sad part is I even babied it for 6 months ( all the clones from there) and was hoping it was even "slow growth veg pheno" .. well so far (almost 3 weeks in bloom) = I'm thinking LA kush cake and majority are crap and no way I would want to do mono cropping or even self stash on that if that's really that. I mean shoot that nurse pays crazy amounts in taxes and even has lab tests on their tissue. so bad genetics or infected? ether way goooooooofy
the money I spent on clones I think I could of got some keepers/bangers in seed form plus they would of been self verified what they are. shit pisses me off

Ya that's a bummer for sure. Anybody selling cuts for that much? They should be top notch breeder cuts. Sorry to hear that, but after holding a couple of those breeder cuts, you can find better. I'll tell you that right now. I'm probably done buying cuts even though I haven't bought that many, but now I know. Unless it's something old school that I really want
have been on their site and they are a bit expensive - It come s down to the un-experienced new growers that might buy expensive seeds becasue they don't understand the "seed"thing" (the higer the price the better the plant) which we allknow isn't true, ones doesn't have to spend bif money to get good genetics !! Thats why sites like this are important !!!!
