I leave as much foliage as possible on my cuts. As long as the light levels are sufficiently low, there is no downside. The upside is that once roots are established and light levels are increased it has a bunch more solar panels to promote additional growth.

Re: snipping the leaf tips, there was a study posted on icrag a few years back that found this decreases the cut's chance of survival by half. I never, ever do it.

I'll 2nd this.
In all my yrs till I got on the internet 2 yrs ago, I never cut a leaf,
I started doing this last yr and I got 1 out of 10..
This year I have gone back to my old ways and have roots...
I don't see any Angels coming down here and cutting leaves on plants out here.... in the real world..
I really think you're hurting the plant the more you cut on it.....
 
Just went and pulled these two cuts out of the mom tent for a quick pic by flashlight. The mom tent has a bit more than optimal light, as seen in the lower yellowing on the one plant, but this is 10 days since the snip and it will be rooted in a day or so (it may be rooted now, you can see new growth on top, but I wait until roots are visible at the sides of the cup before moving to the veg space).

I had always thought this as well but as @Agent Trent Hauser and @Capt's Farm mention apparently there's a lot of research out there now that strongly suggests the opposite is true to I'm trying more vegetative stuffs this time. It's an all new experience this time around lol

I mentioned to Spy I wasn't really a dabber and he offered to send something else...he picked out this beauty and I couldn't be more excited. Chem Sister.... she was very early in flower when the "incident" occurred and seems to be doing alright. She'll get another run but I'm kind of wondering when the wow is gonna hit... not much in the way of terps so far. We shall see.

MSS is a leafy mess but I unlike Chem Sis she screams special. There was some debate about whether this cut was legit or not but this is the super Skunk I remember so Riot can shove off. I'll call it the Analog cut as suggested by the person I got it from, so as to avoid confusion, but this is pure nostalgia for me. Not roadkill skunk but skunky burnt rubber and sweet rotting fruit. This girl will definitely stick around for a while so I can dial her in. Gonna start working a BX as well, thinking the Shiva Shanti I have coming might be a good choice for a male for that project..

And last but not least, Orion from @Dino Party... like the MSS she got super leafy after the reveg issue but unlike the MSS she stayed on track and is wrapping up soon. Smells awesome. Gonna be a lot of trimming but the terps say she's worth it
 
Other arbitrary observations...

I started using that little tent to observe the boys and I'm real glad I did, one of my Brutal Thunder is definitely a girl lol. I have no idea where I saw balls before

So at least one of the Kokusho Mystery beans is a male... which is weird because I was sure they came from another plant going herm on me. So I really have no idea who dad is! My guess is the GMO but it shall remain a mystery it seems...

And my BOO from Useful hates life and may need to be culled. She's had tacoing leaves virtually her whole life and nothing seems to help. Now she's showing some kind of nutrient imbalance as well. I'll definitely be dropping another one either way.

I have 3 setting bud, right now.

Seems to be 2 groups.
~Thicks , with few, oversize leaf.
~Branchy, with multitudes of Maple Leafs
TurnipHead is a mix.
In my dreams Turniphead produces one giant bud. Sitting there like king cauliflower ,,with a bunch of other leafy stuff surrounding it.

A person must petition the Fates ,otherwise they are doomed to live off the diluted, trickle-down scraps of the more unimaginative Muses.

I am muy excited for the reverend!

I would also love a single cabbage sized bud. I would most certainly reveg that plant.
