Kokusho, and other thoughts on cannabis procreation

So the plan this round was to start looking for a female like Kokusho #2 or possibly even better so I may not keep any of the males. But I'll keep them around for a bit for observation. Tempted to cross the two tall ones and hunt through the progeny since that seems like the least common pheno so far but we'll see how it goes.

I just had two of the exact same looking Pure Michigan males and thank God one of the stem rubs was like burnt rubber so I could choose lol. She didn't really start to smell though until flip so it makes sense
Yeah, some strains tell you what's up right away.... some like to play coy lol. Like, I've found most of Bad Dawgs Long Bottom Fighter crosses don't get a strong nose until they're a good month into flower

Finally getting these Kokusho going. Here's the five females after a haircut. Went to 12/12 yesterday. 20210509_215430.jpg

I culled all the males except this one. This tall pheno is really interesting to me... dark purple stems with an anise, cinnamon and lemon stem rub. Completely unlike anything I've found in the Kokusho so far.

So @Gentlemancorpse your going to give me ANOTHER thread to follow. Good work. Who's that beast of a bush in the back if you don't mind me asking? That tall pheno looks impressive too.
My threads breed like jackrabbit! Every time I add one suddenly they make three more....

That beastly bush would be the clone only WiFi 43 gifted me by @GCG. Definitely the biggest plant I've grown in a while!

What are the genetics behind kokusho? Like that name. Had to edit this too keep spreading that thread plague lol.
It's Hyper Dragon x Celestial Ghost, bred by @Phylex (GK Genetics). I was running them as testers and gave it a name, fell in love with a particular pheno and found myself hunting for it again. Phylex was generous enough to send me the rest of the seeds he had made since he wasn't working with them, so it exists only here at the moment, though hopefully I'll be spreading some around once I work the line a bit.

And K12, the super tall pheno. Towers over the others and is nearly as tall as the tower fan already. Similar stem rub to K10 but not as loud.

All of them have the same purple striping in the stems but it's far more pronounced in the male I kept. He's in a different tent but I'll try and remember to snap some pics of him tonight
