I’ve been following a few pages on ig that do a lot of root over rocks and such. Didn’t look too difficult, so tonight I took one of my Sin N Juice clones that I’ve been topping and training and we’re going to see what happens!
Found this car planter that I covered the opening with a hard plastic. Took one of the girlfriends shallow baking dishes (she knows I took it!) and lined the bottom with perlite since there are no drain holes.

Next, was a layer of soil and placement of the car. Then I took a soil and worm casting mix and made it pretty wet and stuck it to the car.

Next was the first ring (a cut up nursery pot that was pretty flexible) around the car. Then I pulled the root mass apart and did the best o could to string them out without damaging them. I probably could have trimmed quite a few of the thin hairlike roots, but being my first attempt, I didn’t want to damage it too much.

Finally, placed the plant on top of the car and place the roots kind of where I wanted them to go and covered with soil. Added the second ring and more soil. Placed back under the light with a little leaf trim and now we wait!

Note: the solo cups in the dome are the Pure Michigan F3’s, Dynoberry Bites and Booba. DBB seeds cracked in about 12 hours, Booba in under 24 hours and the PM’s, 3 cracked within 36 hours and the other two appeared to be starting to split. I hand cracked one just for my own experimental purposes. Now they are domed up, on a heating pad and growing legs.
