Birds and Blooms

We have a family of Redtail Hawks around our place, too, but they are hard to photograph. I've never seen that Cooper's Hawk in my photos again - here one time and out. Our house is in a thick pine grove, so it limits their ability to attack - we lost 2 cats in Colorado.

It's a blast watching them learn how to fly, well landing is the fun part. Being buzzed by a 4-5 foot wingspan, barely air worthy predator will keep your head on a swivel.

I have a real camera with an 18-600 lens, but it's never around when the fun stuff is hapening.
