Breeding, what's really involved?

Ok guys, I've got to save some Columbian Haze pollen.
I have not had good luck doing this long term.
Any advice, pointers and suggestions?

Moisture is the enemy.

I've had the best success collecing pollen on clean, dry paper (creased in half for easy pouring), then sifting it onto another sheet of paper, then into a seed vial with silica beads. Those vials of pollen then get stored in another airtight container with silica beads in it. Should be good for a couple of months.

@Buck5050 has a really good write up on storing pollen long term
I've got some stored via his method and I'll see if it works at end of season. Stored 3 months ago.

Thanks guys, now where are those 234 silca packs I've been saving for something lol.

If I want to stabilize a line/cross/chuck for intersex would the following have any impact?

Select a female(s) from environmental conditions that favor males (high germination temperatures, root binding, dry, high N?) and male(s) from "ideal" conditions?

Understand that influencing male/female ratio is a bit anecdotal/ unproven but I do belive there is actual evidince behind germ temp and tap root freedom?

Thanks in advace for your comments.

The seeds wouldn’t be sterile, they only need time to form. The light schedule won’t matter at that point, she is already pregnant. If you leave her in veg long enough to get a cut, you can then just harvest her for her seeds and run the cut.
It would be better if you took cuts first and tried to reveg them but i was thinking of your solo cup situation and almost no side branching to take a cut.

Also if a plant has started to flower and you take a clone, it seems it can take longer for roots to form, which makes sense because the plant is going from near the end of a cycle to starting over again. Only done that one time.

Kinda off topic but best place I could find. Can You reveg a seeded plant without harming the forming seeds?
I've never done it, but I don't see it being an issue imho. Saying this due to the fact that I've made plenty of seed using preflowers on a vegging plant that never went to flower, was always a clone momma that I never flowered out. Did it that way with a couple of plants, all viable seed as far as I could tell from growing them, and or others growing them out.
I’d say yes, i put a pollinated plant in veg to finish and by the time it was ready(4-5weeks) it was starting to grow that extra leafy reveg look. Those seeds are now in week 4 or so of flower and no problems at all.
I have bad luck with revegging flowered out female plants, seems I've had better luck with males doing that. lol.
Bad idea, you will end up with sterile seeds and a dead plant. a better approach would be to take clones and try to reveg them and let the majority of the seeded plant stay under 12/12 until the seeds are done.
With my luck I'd for sure end up with a dead plant. lol. Bad luck for me each of the times I've went for revegging a flowered out plant. I've had pretty good luck with taking clones from newly flowered out plants, but not with anything I've tried past the 6th week of flower.

That'd be spot on imho, just let em veg on out, and taking cuts along the way.
