Yes chop at base and leave everything under the mulch. No waiting really needed before replanting. Day of harvest if possible, But no more than a week is my usual practice.Yeah, I'll definitely reach out when I get around to it. My propensity to grow from seed and frequently cull or move plants around has me thinking how I could adapt it to my needs (or visa versa).
What's the process when you harvest, just chop the plants and leave the roots in place? And if so, how long do you wait to replant the bed?
