Help me select a male

Crescendo 6 x temple kush male pheno 2. Shorter more compact branching, average stem rub. Has a slight purple tint to the male flowers

Temple kush b line male. Short slow, very compact branching, aggressive lower shoots. Average stem rub

I’m gonna try to collect pollen from all three. To start I wanna hit my slurricane 7 cut and this stinky crescendo x temple kush bitch that I think is insane. Never really selected a male before so any opinions are appreciated

I have to say the second one just by sight . That's good you're collecting all three though. You got a better idea about the male a little further into flower anyways . Sounds killer man , best of luck ?

I’m with Frim, the second one would be my choice, the shorter structure of the plant, internode space looks better for flower production.

I concur. #3 looks to have favorable structure for certain aims. Laterals are just about even with rest for nice canopy. Hard to tell without seeing more floral development.

Sometimes they fill in funny. I always like to see them through if I can. Sometimes they surprise me too

I remember hearing that when Bodhi selects a male, he lets them grow out as long as he can, like Frim said, and whichever one gets most frosty is often favored, all other things being equal.

See this is some stuff I need to learn; I'd be choosing a male the same way I'd choose a female; Sniff test. I have much to learn clearly LOL.

thx for the help guys. currently collecting pollen from the first two, which are crescendo x temple kush b. the 3rd pic is a straight temple kush male that has a nice structure but its taking waaay longer than the others to start shedding...and no visible frost. is this a bad thing? i also have 2 durban poison males and a pink n purps male i wanna milk. when i trimmed some lowers for a sample smoke, they were all seeded. im pretty sure everything in flower rite now will have seeds but aint no biggie...im just trying to find what i wanna keep for now...more later

I've heard that some people choose a Male based on it having some frost, but I personally don't feel like that's THE defining trait either.... then again I haven't crossed anything myself yet either so I wouldn't be offended if you waited for one of the more knowledgeable people to add to this.

I do think when I start doing this, I'll be adding a thread myself to see what everyone thinks of what I select; if I end up with a really strong vigorous Male that has the smell and physical traits I'm after but didn't have a bunch of resin I'd most likely go for it anyway.
