I see that in plants frequently, what are your night time temps like?

I had 49F yesterday, low to mid 50's is typical. It's 81 right now, high today was 82, it's been 80ish lately, with a cooler rainy day thrown in here and there.

Still leaning pathogen but it's like 50.1/49.9

hope it’s just that plant cause I’m getting 50’s at night and I checked my plants heavily and didn’t see one top like that anymore ( knock on wood) . I’ve seen that happen when I was in potted plants and it got cold or end of harvest time ( end of Oct )

The affected are both in ground. I have potted plants 15 gal BuildASoil unaffected.

If I had to throw a guess, temp swings stimulating a small flush of pigment that spreads into the larger leaf and "disappears" into the green.

So is that an anthocyanin based response?

That is what I always took it for. I have seen similar on a lot of my plants in the past, usually in spring when the nighttime temps swing lower.

Well, I had a little discussion with the university ag extension until the feds got involved. They are only allowed to advise on legal industrial hemp. Nothing new, 25+ years of being put out cause what the plant I like to grow is...this time it's just name discrimination tho.

I'm now leaning environment, there are specific events that seem to correlate time wise.
