Nor any horticultural oil for use on cannabis. I may have to in veg to get the efficacy from avid tho. That is if they are mites, thats my gut but I am often wrong.

I paused the propane for a bit at 105 and the temp has dropped. I also think I undershot the desired temp of 120 last time. Not by much certainly got the 115 recommended by GWE.

2 bottles almost a c note.
High end of mix ratio is 1/2 Tbsp / gallon though this quantity should last a several runs for me.
These are effective on a wide range of suckers including thrips (regardless if I see them or not).
Was browsing through some of my pics from earlier this year to see if I could come to a different conclusion than mites and honestly I can't explain what was going on here.
I was chasing what I thought were soil pH issues, but looking back is what pushed me towards mites vs. thrips. I don't yet know what the specific issue is or if it is a combination fo things, a perfect shit storm if you will. I will tell you scratching my head for this long I am concerned about hair loss.

1 cycle of grandevo / vinerade and the issue seems mitigated. Will do another cycle then ride it out the last few weeks.
My 2nd heat treat was executed much better imo but really leaning towards spino resistant thrips. I will always rotate ipm/pest treatments from now on, I was skipping insecticide soap and until finding the monroe products I had not found anything I wanted to use (something not a horticultural oil like sns217) in rotation. I am not claiming to know anything just trying to identify my mistakes so others can choose appropriately. All in all I am gald I did the heat treatments and will implent the technique as a form of ipm, in addition to sulfur burning (if you didnt see my errors with sulfur vaporization ask me about it). I have not ordered forbid f4 and won't unless I continue to have issues.

i am surprised that thrips infest hydroton. Mind you i am not an indoor grower so excuse my possible ignorance, but with their life cycle requiring an instar stage during which they live in the soil, i would think the hydroton substrate would frustrate that part of the cycle.

I had soil earlier this year, transplanted to hydrotron. Also, used a peat based seed starting mix for everything going now due to frustrations with rockwool.
The damage pattern is/(was hopefully) essentially identical to that of thrips, though I never identified single one on this run. Earlier this year I saw white clusters of them and black spots (their poop from what I know) this was during my transition to hydroton. In addition I had springtails in the flood and drain ealier this year, hasn't been a real good grow year for me lol.

@GthaEnigma I'm all ears if you see something let me know cause I'm not putting anything else into flower until Im sure I have a handle on it. Its a new location for me in a more forested area which for me points to a mite.

i have for sure russet mites. I was told by a source that my county recently decided to use them to abate star thistle, the assholes. They give a fuckall aboit the local growers legal or not.

the leaf curl looks similar. i will try to get a pic when i can later today. only difference mine are in flower so the damage they a wreaking is more apparent. the bud tips just brown out.

i have been hitting them with trifecta every 3 days and am rotating in some green cleaner. it is barely slowing them down. they are mostly confined to one of the strawberry unicorns. found signs in a few other plants so battle it is. I hate having to spray during flower.

I would imagine the combo of horti oil and ash is not doing any favors either, sharing the resistance to spraying in flower but the od girls are getting it too.
I went hard trimming this morning on suspect pm and otherise affected/ compromised tissue.
Didn't get it all.
The od definitly can take more of everything than the indoor, I mean if you have hail indoors you got real problems but that just adds to the fun!
