What are your other hobbies ?

hitting them with a planet.

A "10th planet"? You a Bravo guy?

I'm a big MMA fan(watched every UFC event but one over the last ~15 years) but I'm glad it wasn't around when I was young as I know I would have a lot more concussions. I would have absolutely given it a try.

I have considered getting into BJJ now as a form of exercise, but with a history of knee problems it just seems like a chance I'm not willing to take. All it takes is rolling with one over-enthusiastic partner and my quality of life in retirement takes a big hit.
I do love grappling though. Never been a big scrapper, but most of my tussles ended up with me on top on the ground. Body mechanics are fascinating.

I can't go into too much detail about who I've trained with, but I'm not a huge 10th planet dude. I'm sure someone can use the rubber guard effectively, but in my opinion there's a reason that it has never really caught on at the elite black belt level. I'm more of a reverse DLR/One leg X/berimbolo/crab ride/leglock/wristlock/head and arm choke dude. I never play closed guard.

All good brother.

I only mentioned Bravo because the way you used "planet" made me think it was referring to something. I don't really care about him myself one way or the other. :)
I don't follow the BJJ scene, but the impression I've picked up over the years is that he made a career out of one big tournament win in Abu Dhabi and coasted on it.

Hobbies? I'll let Tony Joe speak on my behalf [ more or less ].

There's so many possibilities of breaking new ground
But the responsibility just brings me down
I don't need something like that hanging over my head
I'll take option #1 and go back to bed

I have been a massive Nick Diaz fan since his first fight with Robbie in 2004. (Did you seen they just had a rematch last weekend?) Always appreciated him, and people I know who met him say he's a hell of a guy. It's weird how he is thoughtful and well-spoken, but the minute the camera is on he goes mushmouth thug.

I'm so happy that Silva is having good results and making coin boxing these days.

Personally not a big Dillishaw or Griffin fan, but Dillisnake especially is a talented and bad dude.

Yeah same . Nate Diaz is one tough mongrel and to be respected . He’s a classic to watch with his loose half drunk looking movement but man can he brawl ???

Gets jumped by four guys.

Diaz sustained a head injury that might require stitches. But, he has no interest in pressing charges against the attacker, saying that they "got the worst of it."
