That's exactly what I was going to use for the floor... Not cheap here but was still going to until the wife found these mats for $20 a piece. I figured I'll try em if not pond liner it is but has to be min 40mil

I may look at the gym mats when I replace mine. I bet there more durable, may have to keep an eye out. Might find a bargain on some.
I can’t fire up the uc until the farmer gets his hay out of my barn. My FX project has wrenched my plan.
I need to rethink that, probably already too tall.
I could scrog?, I really like the structure of leaving plants unmolested.
Question:
If I took clones of clone, there’s no down side?
I don’t think trying to finish them will work, I’d be forcing it, which will lead to unhappiness for all involved!
Next question:
I read somewhere about starting seeds to take clones and flower clones.
Am I remembering that right, advantage other than sexing, or is that it?
I’m going to have to do something temporary with these. They are not happy and watering brings back memory's of dirt and the stretch on some! ?

I was going to f&d, but I’m thinking I can take a FX bubbler, T off 8 lines to 16 and top feed a solo. Then I can net pot for uc or pots.
Stretch panda to support the cups.

Nothing wrong with clones of clones IMO. There has been some discussion after many many generations that there MAY be some slowing of vigor but I haven't seen any concrete evidence of this.
You can sex clones by putting them into flower but seeds you will need to wait until the plant is mature in order to do so. Can be 3-6 weeks before this happens. Once the nodes start alternating then your good to go.

This may not be any better!
There are a couple that are still putting out reveg leaves?
The back left still putting out single leaves, it was a 6” clone, stressed to hell, now 29” still not developing.
Would clones off that be slow starters?
Most others are putting out normal leaves.
Ive gone 12/12 from seed, it was slow for me.
I wonder if some strains respond better to 12/12?

If it's still transitioning back to veg it will be slow I would think... Never tried personally. I'm sure to an extent there is some genetic differences in time for bud onset. But if you you go 12/12 from seed they won't actually start to flower until the plant is mature and that definitely can take different amounts of time based on strainI

I'm not gonna say "there's never a dumb question" cuz that's not always true. But questions like these, are dumb not to ask. Glad you're able to ask about them now, cuz others (like me) can benefit from insight like this as well!
Somewhat related - one of the tidbits I remember from our great friend Schwaggy is that although we could think of things like genetic drift and whatnot as "damage" to the gene, to think of it like a CD with a scratch. You can play the CD in its entirety still, but it skips once of twice. You get all 99.7% of the rest of the CD though. I can't remember entirely, but it was something to that effect. If I had my preference, of course I'd want to get a copy of genetics from a healthy clone or clean tissue culture specimen. But if the "unhealthy" is all I have to work with, it'll likely be "close enough" if it gets nursed back to health.

I have old tent poles that I use for scrogs and decided it would be plenty to hold the tray.
I had two pieces that were the right length. The splices are the taper cut off a another piece.

Busy guy man looks awesome. Sure got a lot more done than this old ass today.
Today the back was a bit rough (well that's what I tell myself lol) I got sweet fuck all done in the room after 4 hrs of shopping. Sat for the lest 5 yrs thinking about it... On the bright side I have confirmed i do not poses Jedi powers that would enable me to work from the couch... I know I was just as shocked lol. Tomorrow helping move and fix a hot tub. Sunday deadline is not looking as promising but still doable.

This whole thing has gotten way bigger than intended, but dang, it’s awesome to watch them grow.
Too tall to flip, about out of room. I really would like to finish out with this variable speed HPS/MH.
I don’t see that happening.

I feel privileged.... I never posted many pics either. Lol the first journal I did ended with me having to hack the grow down because we had a family emergency and had to leave the province for 2 weeks... May not sound like much but in a sealed room with co2 it was a death sentence. I'm looking forward to sharing my dirt grow with everyone. Be my first dirt grow and should make for some comedy too.

Getting the solo tray ready for the bubbler top feed.
I figured out how to use the standard f&d fittings. A pump fitting screwed into the 1/2” feed side. A 1/2” pvc pipe fits snugly inside. I don’t glue any of these connections, minimal pressure. (pump dependent ?)
I ran a 1/2” line of the fitting to the pump.
