We have channel cats too, but my noodling is reserved for the missus..
And I’m not sure I’d be OK with any part of me being in a fishes mouth let alone my noodle!… sheesh!…lol?
Whole lotta nope!

Talk about nasty ways to die huh!.. that’s gotta be right up there with SHARK, BEAR OR EX WIFE!?Oh, you don't have to noodle a Channel Cat; Though you could use Noodles for bait of course LOL. Though I think a Walleye head would be a lot better.
Noodling a Tarpon..... I'd say that's crazy, but then again I've never seen anyone try to noodle a Goonch..... Probably because they'd die LOL.
And that’s exactly why I can take the cold!… it takes care of “stupid” in a hurry! So you learn to smarten up quick!Tarpon will cut you up doing that, but in Florida people do dumb stuff like that constantly. Ha. People are always getting bloody hands or forearms from getting tarpon off the hook. Fly fishing for tarpon is a blast.
As I read through this mildly humorous thread I thought you were going to call this strain Chinook Cheese (I missed the first 2 lines) I was dying laughing???A quick peek at Orange Kush, first pic is from my phone, the other three are from my iPad.View attachment 143508View attachment 143509View attachment 143510View attachment 143511

I absolutely prefer salmon and tuna raw...I buy those tuna steaks...I freeze them..Get the skillet nice and hot with some olive oil..drop in the the frozen steak and char the outside and the middle unthaws but stays raw.... delicious!I do like Smoked Salmon too but yeah, Raw is a nice texture to flavor combination that with some Cheese is just wonderfulCeviche I've never gotten to try, but I would eat that too.
Tuna I've never liked more than when it was raw too; As they say in Japan; Tuna should be cooked on the tongue. They're not wrong either in my opinion.
Yes, lox is belly meat and it's brined. Smoked, when done right, is the best!Raw? I love lox, but not raw salmon on there. Was always under the impression you brined it first. Smoked salmon is good on there too. Even working on charter and commercial boats we never ate raw seafood, but we’d always make ceviche for the customers with their catch on charters. You would’ve been an easy customer to please if you like it raw. Ha.
You got me interested in the rock star with other posts...Now rock tooth?Rock-Tooth

Thanks brother! She’s catching My attention too!.. As much as I really want Rock-Tooth to “be the one”, that orange kush cross keeps coming up aces…?That plant looked big enough for a stem rub, have you given that a try yet ??
Brooooooooo.... Yeah even though I've never personally eaten it seared like that before, I've always wanted to try it out and the way you describe that is quite lovely I must say
I feel like I'm missing out here..... I've never seen that before.... Brined as in put in a vinegar and salt based solution? Like pickled sausages maybe ? Cause this is sounding like I'm not living my best life having never had this stuff before.... I've eaten a lot of smoked fish and loved every bit of it but I've not had this Lox stuff
YAY! Also that cross you have looks good bro![]()
